In October 2024, Noella Foundation strengthened its mission to enhance youth employability by hosting the Life After School Summit (LAS24) at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos. The summit brought together over 500 undergraduates from tertiary institutions across Lagos State, offering them the tools and confidence to transition successfully into the professional world.
Participants engaged in practical workshops covering CV writing, personal branding, and job search strategies, alongside a professional headshot session to support their career journey.
One of the event’s key highlights was a dynamic panel session featuring thought leaders such as ARC. Elizabeth Okunnubi-Gbemudu of Studio Elementals, Shehu Tijani Abdullahi of Jobberman, Adetoro Mbah of Sowé Skincare, career strategist Dotun Alabiola, HR professional Mari Tikukur, Bebelake CEO Christabel Chidiebere, author and speaker JJ Omojuwa. Each speaker brought their unique lens to conversations around career growth, entrepreneurial readiness, and navigating real-world challenges, leaving the students both inspired and informed.
The summit also welcomed special guests including SMEDAN DG Charles Odii and a surprise visit from Afrobeats icon Davido, whose messages of encouragement uplifted the entire room.
Following the event, 240 selected students progressed to the Life After School Bootcamp, where they received deeper, hands-on training to prepare for the workforce
