Noella Foundation Commissions Borehole Water Project in Oworonshoki Community

On October 23, 2024, the Noella Foundation officially commissioned the first phase of a clean water project in Oworonshoki, Lagos State—bringing a vital resource to the heart of the community. This initiative stems from earlier outreach and listening sessions where residents shared insights into local priorities, with access to clean water identified as a central need.
Having previously carried out impactful programs in the area—including food distribution and a free health clinic—the Foundation deepened its commitment by addressing water access through a sustainable, long-term solution. The project began with detailed water testing and planning to ensure quality and reliability.
Led by Co-Founder Mrs. Layal Tinubu and the Noella team, the Foundation worked closely with community leaders and residents to bring the project to life. The commissioning marks a meaningful milestone in the Foundation’s broader work in Oworonshoki, aligning with its commitment to advancing sustainable development goals—particularly the goal of ensuring clean water and sanitation for all.
This water project not only supports public health but also promotes community resilience, and shared progress.
