Life After School Summit 2025 : Equipping Young Nigerians for the World Beyond School

In October 2025, The Noella Foundation advanced its mission to strengthen youth employability by hosting the second edition of the Life After School Summit (LAS ’25) in Lagos. The summit convened over 500 final-year students from tertiary institutions across Lagos State, equipping them with practical tools, exposure, and confidence to transition successfully into the world of work.

Participants engaged in hands-on workshops covering personal branding, CV development, financial literacy, and essential digital skills for the modern workplace. Each student also received a professional headshot to support their career positioning and online presence.

The summit also featured keynote sessions and panel discussions from leading industry voices, including Bankole Williams, Kunle Afolayan, Mojisola Hunponu-Wusu, Stella Fubara, Aramide Abe, and Osita Oparaugo, who shared insights on identity, creativity, and career development in a global economy. Goodwill messages were delivered by Honourable Ayodele Olawande, Minister for Youth Development, and Charles Odii, Director General of SMEDAN, who also announced CAC registration support for student entrepreneurs.

To further support participants, forty-two (42) students received laptops, while twenty-six (26) students were awarded educational grants. Following the summit, two-hundred and fifty (250) students progressed to the Life After School Bootcamp, a four-week employability accelerator, with fifty (50) students advancing to an intensive creative workshop.

LAS ’25 reflects The Noella Foundation’s ongoing commitment to equipping young Nigerians for meaningful and future-ready careers.
